Print Day
It seems like a really long time since I did any real print making. Since graduating last year I have been lucky enough to have a regular flow of commissions coming in, which has kept me very busy. However, due to all the time spent working for other people I have kind of lost sight of what it is I love to do. Printing!
I am not the most patient person in the world; but hand me a roller and some ink and I’ll spend a whole day mark making, experimenting, creating new textures and generally making a mess. I love the inaccuracy of it all; the happy accidents that often inspire me or change how I view certain things. Today has been one of those days and it has really enjoyable, even if there isn’t much to show for it. As a result I have decided to dedicate a whole day each week to printing, just for me… unless I have a paying job to do.
