Behold! The ‘finished’ fisherman image. I’m not completely sold on the background yet, I was experimenting with a different style and I can’t decide whether it works or not? I went with the monochromatic approach again for this image, I think that sometimes I rely too often upon a strong colour scheme to get me through a commission and i think I am sometimes guilty of the old ‘style-over-substance’ dilemma with my work. So, maybe i am testing myself by stripping away all the colour to see whether i like what is left. Or maybe i just like the aesthetics of a monochromatic image.
